The Black Box Better Body Challenge helps you reach your goals with a holistic approach to food, movement, and mindfulness.
How does the Better Body Challenge Work?
We’ll have a kick-off where you will get your baseline assessments at Black Box Fitness, then fill out the starting questionnaire online to enter your scores. We also will have a Facebook Group, where we’ll post articles, recipes, and encouragement to help you succeed.
Every day, keep a checklist of your habits in a log book and then enter your points online to track your progress. You can win prizes for sleeping enough, staying active every day, choosing clean food options, and being mindful of your goals.
What kind of assessments will I do?
We will take basic physical measurements, including your height, weight, waist and hip circumference, which we’ll use to calculate your BMI and body fat percentage. Because we focus heavily on mental well-being, you will also answer questions online about your current lifestyle and goals, which help us measure important psychological changes.
How do I earn points?
Our easy system of checklisting allows you to see exactly how you’re doing throughout the Challenge. You’ll conveniently track points in your log book for sleep, movement, food, and more, then enter your points online every day.
How can I win prizes?
Anyone who completes the Challenge and shows improvement in their lifestyle can win one of of our prize packages!
What will I learn from the challenge?
We’re experts in health education — you’re going to learn a lot of information about food, movement, and lifestyle. You’ll also learn about the psychology of food choices, how our metabolisms work best, and what you can do to gain the support of your friends and family when making a lifestyle change.
What if I don’t need to lose weight? Should I still sign up?
The Better Body Challenge IS NOT a weight loss challenge, though many people do have that goal and see amazing progress towards it. This is about building self-awareness for the things in your life that matter the most — your daily habits that affect how you feel, both physically and psychologically. It’s a holistic approach to learning how to take better care of yourself, with guidance and accountability in a supported and encouraging community.
Do I need to be a member of Black Box Fitness to participate?
No — anyone can do the Better Body Challenge, regardless of membership at Black Box. We have a lot of people who do the challenge who aren’t members, actually. If you would like to join Black Box Fitness to get all the benefits from a membership, we’ll let you do the challenge for FREE.
HELP! I’m worried about not doing everything ‘perfectly’!?
Our goal is progress, not perfection! To make progress, you have to stay in the game and try to make each day a little better than the day before. If you finish the Challenge even just 10% better than when you started, that’s success.
